Alexander von Augsburg

Alexander von Augsburg is a magnificent 4.5 month old coated German Shepherd. Alex as he is called by his foster family is a sight to behold! He is already 44 pounds and has legs like posts and huge paws. You can hear him coming when his big paws hit the hardwood floor, his foster mom can hear thump, thump, thump! We think he might possibly be a King Shepherd because of his size. We would guess that he will be at least 100 pounds when full grown. He still acts like a baby and cries if he can’t go with you. He loves the dogs in his foster home, he is very loving with his family but he needs someone who will continue to work with him and socialize him. He already has a big protective bark. Since he is going to be so large, he needs to be well trained. He is great on the leash and loves walks. He sleeps by the side of the bed in his wire crate with a big comfy bed, he is happy as long as he knows his family is near. He is doing well with his potty training, just needs to be taken out after he wakes up from a nap. He likes chew bones, and is very well behaved in the house. He loves to sleep under his foster mom’s desk when she is working. He likes to follow his person, but beware. If you open the shower door to check the water temperature, Alex will just walk in; I guess he won’t mind the rain. We are asking a donation of $425. He is already neutered, micro-chipped, up to date with  shots and has had a vet check. He is just an amazing puppy; he looks like a big wooly bear!
